The inaugural seminar in the EuroCC4SEE series, named 5 Beats of Intelligence, will take place on 20 May 2025. Dr. Onur Varol from Sabanci University will showcase the application of various AI technologies and computational social science methods in the realms of politics and global diplomacy.
Social media and various online resources offer crucial insights into domestic politics and international diplomacy. By leveraging AI technologies to derive structured information from text, images, and network data, and applying domain expertise in analysis, one can uncover significant insights. In this presentation, Dr. Varol will discuss two projects, Secim2023 and GlobalDiplomacyNet, highlighting how different AI technologies, combined with computational social science methods, can be effectively employed in the fields of politics and global diplomacy.
