CompBioMed will host their 32nd e-seminar on 26 October 2023 at 14:00 CEST. The seminar will focus on Containers and Cloud-HPC for Virtual Human Twin. Containers are a lightweight virtualization solution that provides better performance than other virtualization solutions. They can be used to improve reproducibility, portability, and deployability, which makes them suitable for Cloud-HPC. These features are essential for developing simulations for complex systems like digital twins and the Virtual Human Twin. Dr. Daniele Tartarini, a Senior Research Software Engineer in the Department of Computer Science and the Insigneo Institute for in silico medicine of the University of Sheffield, will share his experience of containerizing biomedical applications. He will explore how containers can aid the progress toward the Virtual Human Twin (also known as Human Digital Twin).
