The Norwegian Research Infrastructure Services (NRIS) is offering an online two-day scientific computing workshop on 11-12 June 2024, focusing on two topics: Using NetCDF data format with modern Fortran and Profiling and optimizing software applications on HPC.
The Unidata Network Common Data Form (NetCDF) comprises a collection of libraries and machine-independent data formats that facilitate the creation, access, and sharing of array-oriented scientific data. The workshop will center on NetCDF file structure, compiling and linking, as well as reading and writing NetCDF files using modern Fortran.
On the other hand, Profiling and optimizing software applications on HPC focuses on maximizing hardware efficiency when running scientific applications. The workshop covers various steps of increasing complexity that can be taken to understand the application's behavior better.
