The third seminar in the Quantum Computing Series, organized by NCC Czechia, will take place on 13 June 2024, both online and onsite at IT4Innovations. The talk will explore one of the potential future practical applications of quantum computers, which is solving optimization problems. The Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm will be the main focus of the seminar, as it is considered the most promising algorithm for solving these kinds of problems on quantum computers in the current Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum (NISQ) era. During the seminar, the Qiskit toolkit will be used to demonstrate the practical applications of this algorithm, as well as for hands-on exercises.
