After successfully setting up the PARADOX-V machine earlier this year, we are now preparing for a GPU upgrade of the PARADOX-V cluster this summer. This upgrade has been made possible thanks to the CTRUST grant from the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, which was awarded to Dr. Marija Mitrović Dankulov from the Scientific Computing Laboratory of the Institute of Physics Belgrade (IPB). The tender was won by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and the new equipment arrived at IPB this week.
PARADOX-V GPU upgrade consists of two HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers, both equipped with an NVIDIA A30 GPU card. Each server is equipped with two Intel Xeon-Silver 4310 2.1GHz processors and 128 GB of RAM. The servers are interconnected with Infiniband EDR 100 Gbps technology.
The main goal of this system is to analyze how trust develops and diminishes within social groups. The primary objective of the CTRUST project is to identify the characteristics of social networks that either facilitate or impede the development, longevity, and erosion of trust. Based on this information, recommendations for effectively managing social groups will be provided to group leaders, managers, and industry professionals. This will be accomplished through the development of an online platform that disseminates and translates scientific findings into practical guidelines.
