NCC Austria is hosting a webinar on the core concept of AI Factories and their significance in Europe’s AI strategy. The session will explore the services and synergies with existing HPC/AI initiatives, such as EuroCC, as well as the infrastructure, job opportunities, and benefits these new hubs will create. The webinar is scheduled for 31 March 2025.
AI Factories are a new mega-project launched by the European Union, representing the largest public investment in Artificial Intelligence worldwide. AI Factory hubs will create a network of one-stop shops that offer startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and researchers easy access to AI-optimized supercomputers, technical expertise, and training. A primary focus of this initiative is to ensure the trustworthiness of AI, making advanced AI technologies both powerful and responsible.
After the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking selected the first seven AI Factories in 2024, six additional centers were announced on 12 March 2025. These centers will facilitate groundbreaking research and practical applications, supporting industries such as healthcare, energy, and climate change.
