The next event in the series of Industrial Code of the Month is scheduled for 13 March 2024. This event will focus on GROMACS, a versatile package used for performing classical molecular dynamics simulations. It integrates Newton's equations of motion for systems containing hundreds to millions of particles. One of the main features of GROMACS is its ability to run efficiently on all major CPU and GPU architectures. Additionally, it provides wide support and makes it easy to use many algorithms. The code is licensed under LGPL and is commonly used in the fields of biomolecular simulation, chemistry, and physics. It is widely used in academia and industry, and it is one of the most utilized HPC codes globally. The development of GROMACS is distributed, and it has co-design projects with the three major hardware vendors.
