This seminar is part of the NCC Czechia's Quantum Computing series and will cover Quantum Chemistry on NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) Quantum Computers. It will be held as a hybrid event on 11 April 2024.

The seminar will focus on one of the most promising and prominent fields of Quantum Computing applications - Quantum Chemistry. It will describe the possible approaches and their pros and cons, with a specific emphasis on Variational Quantum Eigensolvers. These are hybrid quantum-classical chemical solvers that can efficiently run on NISQ infrastructures. The latter part of the seminar will discuss the different types of noise present in computations and ways to overcome them. Each section will include a hands-on exercise based on the Qiskit toolkit.
