The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) is organizing OpenStack training on 18 February 2025. This course aims to provide users of the HDFCloud or JUSUF Cloud with an introduction to various core OpenStack services. Participants will learn how to interact with these services and perform operations based on their needs.
The course will begin with an introduction to cloud computing and OpenStack. Participants will set up a tutorial environment that will be used for running OpenStack commands. We will then explain the core OpenStack services through hands-on exercises. By the end of the course, participants will be able to create their own resources, such as network subnets, images, and block storage. Ultimately, these resources can be utilized to create and run their own Virtual Machines (VMs), where they can host their services and applications.
