The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) project Inno4scale has issued a call for proposals for innovation studies relating to algorithms for exascale computing. The deadline for submissions is on 28 September 2023. The Inno4scale project will be hosting webinars to provide further details regarding the open call, so stay tuned for further updates by following us.

The innovation studies should lead to proof-of-concept demonstrators exhibiting enhanced performance relevant to important applications executed on exascale systems. The expectation is for compact studies performed over a period of 12 months, with up to 3 partners (and a total of 24 person-months effort). The maximum funding available for each innovation study is 200,000 EUR.

The Inno4scale project was recently launched (beginning of July 2023) with the mission to identify and fund the most promising novel algorithms for applications. The project will facilitate the design and development of highly efficient innovative algorithms for European exascale computers. The most successful of these algorithms will later be taken up by HPC users in academia and industry, resulting in important performance and energy efficiency gains.
